Highlands Park

Highlands Park is a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors. There are many things to do in Highlands Park, CA that will keep you busy for hours. One of our favorites is hiking or biking on one of their trails which offer breathtaking views! The park also offers horseback riding and camping. We hope this post inspires you to make your way up north for some fun in the sun at Highlands Park.
Highlands Park Concord is a great place to go on any given day. You can take in some fresh air while walking around the extensive lagoon or enjoy live outdoor music from bands of all genres at their amphitheater during the summer months. If water sports are more your style. There’s also plenty of space for picnics with friends or family as well as fishing spots around the lake where you can catch bass and trout all year round and beautifully maintained by volunteers from all over who have given their time and love to make this such a safe place for families.

For hikers, several trails wind around the lagoon where you may spot some wildlife including coyotes, deer, rabbits, ducks, and more. There is also a 5-mile hike in the hills of nearby Vasco Caves. That trip goes through multiple mountain ridges with views of Mount Diablo to reward you for your efforts. The park has a series of looped trails so feel free to create your adventure.
Highlands Park is a great place to spend the day on the weekends. There are so many cool things to do in this park that you will never get bored. If you’re looking for some fun activities, check out these ideas: swing on a rope bridge, play with your dog in the off-leash area, go birdwatching and even walk along one of the nature trails. Don’t forget to stop by our Nature Center while you’re here. You’ll find amazing exhibits inside which tell you about all sorts of native plants and animals that live near us in Northern California.
