Meadow Homes Park

Sunshine & Detroit Aves, Concord, CA 94520

Meadow Homes Park is a neighborhood park in the center of Northridge. It has plenty of space for kids to play and explore, but it also has some hidden gems that make this park stand out from other parks like it. The park also features a brand new spray park for kids, tweens, and teens. Multi-purpose sports fields are located in the park as well. There are two reservable group picnic/barbecue areas, one within the spray park and another with a covered shade shelter outside of it.

Meadow Homes Park is a little gem of a park in the heart of Sacramento. The 1-acre park was donated to the city by residents and opened in 1977. It’s been lovingly maintained over 40 years, with new trees planted every year, and features an accessible walking path around a duck pond. In addition to being wheelchair-friendly for people who have mobility issues, it also has benches that offer scenic views of birds on the water or local wildlife at play. Meadow Homes Park has been called “a natural oasis” by visitors from all walks of life.

Kids love the outdoors and will find plenty of space to run and play at Meadow Homes Park. The park is divided into two halves, one for climbers and one for non-climbers. The climbing half has a rock wall with kid-sized holds to help your kids develop their coordination, balance, core strength, and spatial awareness.

When they’re done playing on the rock wall, you can let them explore the rest of Meadow Homes Park while you take a break on one of the benches that give you a beautiful view over the duck pond and surrounding wetlands. The park is wheelchair accessible and has many low curbs between areas where it’s easy to roll from room to room without any stairs in between.

Meadow Homes Park is a great place to bring your kids for a day of climbing and exploring, and it’s even better in the evening when you can see beautiful sunsets over the duck pond.
